The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth
Since her own mother's death, Lucy always wanted a great relationship with the mother of her future husband. But when she actually gets married, her mother-in-law Diana isn't what she pictures -- and vice versa. Diana, the founder of a nonprofit and an exemplary wife and mother, is admired by everyone but keeps Lucy at arm’s length.
Then Diana is found dead, in an apparent suicide. Lucy suspects something more was at play. But what motive would someone have to kill her? And why did Diana change her will just before her death to disinherit her children?
Why I'm Loving It: I love a good thriller, and this is a page-turner. I'm not sure who to love or hate, and I know that's this novel's genius.
